Peace

Wednesday 7th November is the day designated by Mimi as the 'blogblast' for peace.

My globe is up.

I'm having a very peaceful evening as I had to cancel Brownies tonight. We couldn't get into the hall because the person who normally opens up had given us the wrong keypad code for the front door. After 10 minutes waiting in the cold dark rainy Glasgow gloom I sent the kids home. About 5 minutes after they left the Guide leaders managed to get the correct code and let their girls in - but it was too late for us.

Never mind!

Got my Globe up but had loads of probs, don't ask me why cos I've no idea, just a lot harder than last time......
You are so kind to those Brownies, not like in my day, we would have had to do outside activities....

Hi Queenie,

I'd have happily made them run round in the rain if there was a light outside the church hall. But people walk up with torches as it's so dark. And I'd have had to stand in the cold with them which doesn't appeal to me much.

Also - last time I let them out to do games on the grass one rolled into a pile of dog poo which I then had to clean off. Nice.

That's great you are a Brownie leader! I enjoyed my time as a Brownie/Girl Scout and only understand now the time my leaders put in for me.

If you are in Washington in the drizzle, Glasgow in the rain sounds like a nice peaceful alternative vacation.

What a wonderful tailor-made peace globe so suited to you in particular! I still haven't learned how to do these and Annelisa did one for me last year....but I'm with you all in spirit.

Thanks for the visit!

Love the Globe!

It's wonderful when it reflects something about the blogger.

By working with those young girls you too do your part for peace.. it starts with children and with those around us.

Sorry you had to cancel.
