Hello!

Hello, I'm at my wee sister's house in Leeds and she is letting me borrow her internet to check important work e-mails (snigger)....

Feels like loads has happened over the past few weeks but as I come to tell you about it I can't think of anything. Still busy with work but I'm not teaching much any more as I have gigs booked through til August which means I don't have to take any extra work.

Don't get excited about the gigs - they're not particularly exciting... not particularly bad either though so it's all ok.

This weekend I'm visiting my sis and my folks have come up for the weekend so I get to see them too. Today we're going house viewing as my sis is looking to buy somewhere. This will take up most of the day until we go to see Orfeo in the evening performed by Opera North (for whom she works). Should be a fine day all told.

Monday I'm back in Glasgow and will be launching into a show which will take up this week. The next week I have kept clear as it's my Brownie pack's big bowling trip (competition with all Glasgow west brownie units).

Hopefully I should have the new broadband at the end of next week, which means I'll be back to my usually regular posting....

Until then: I hope that you are all doing well and will pop round as many people as possible before my wee sis cottons on to what I'm up to. See you soon x

Why shouldn't your sister know what you're up to?

Well even though you say not to get excited about the gigs, I will anyway. Good for you to be doing what you love...and making some ducats to go with it.

Looking forward to seeing you more regularly once your internet gets back up and running.

I don't imagine for even a nanosecond that my sister is not fully aware of what I'll be using the computer for. I was joking really.

Excellent news about the gigs - no more celery until August? Who could want more! What happens to your pupils then? Do you stick 'em in the cupboard until you need more cash, then get them out and make them play?

CJB - can't you tell when a girl's joking? TC, you'll have to give CJB a clue, like put a bigger 'snigger' :-D

Looking forward to your return, sweetheart!! Can't believe the broadband provider's taking so darn long!

Was it only 3 days since I last visited to check whether you're back again? Still looking forward to your return!

Ah, you disappeared to Leeds ! That must be the "south" for you, lol ! Have a nice house hunting with your sister, I liked to do that. Tomorrow we celebrate 50 years of Europe and I will write a little about it, because I had to move to Belgium just for that. So this event really has probably changed my whole life. I would probably be a brave housewife in Germany today !

Today is the 50th anniversary of Europe and I visit all my European compatriotes here in Blogville ! Without Europe, I probably would sit somewhere in Germany, as a widow with 10 children, because my husband had died of a nervous break down (life with me) instead of my Italian one. I also wouldn't have a french/english/german speaking son who is domiciliated in London, but lives in Amsterdam and I wouldn't have a dutch girl as future daughter in law ! Isn't that Europe, lol ??
Hugs from a European sister !
