Boxing Day Plans

I haven't seen my boyfriend's family yet so I need to meet up with them today to thank them for the gifts of a harmonica (which is a brilliant present - can't wait to try it... resisting til later on or my siblings might murder me) and a diary/organiser (as if I need organising!!).

Boxing Day food is my favourite for Christmas, because we get to have ham for breakfast. If I'm really lucky I might get an egg with my ham. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

I need the others to WAKE UP though first.

Boxing Day is my favorite because I get a rest from the kitchen and serving tea coffee and wine ...

I hope that you had a wonderful Christmas ...

Hug and lol

When I first heard about boxing day at Christmas when our son lived in London, I was convinced that it was an old use to box each other that day until a good soul explained to me that you can exchange your gift "boxes" that day, lol !

I worked a bit this morning, but I'm taking the rest of the afternoon off. We're going to have some tasty leftovers from yesterday's meal, and then maybe enjoy some more movies.

The snow is melting off pretty quick, so tomorrow we'll be able to get out and do some post-holiday shopping.

Happy Boxing Day to you!

Boxing Day is a rest from cooking for me - we just eat whatever is left from Christmas Day in any order we want - like trifle for breakfast! :)

Monica - Well deserved break no doubt!

Gattina - I didn't know what Boxing Day was... actually until your comment it hadn't occurred to me that it wasn't as universal as Christmas Day. Doh.

Bond - it was great. You too?

AK - Sounds ideal!

Late as usual but glad you had a great Christmas.

I enjoyed reading that you had been given a harmonica. For years we used to buy our sons a musical instrument each at Christmas. Nothing big, but things like a jewish harp, harmonica, tambourine, maracas, tin whistle, African drum etc. Once they found out what was in the parcel it was always met with a groan and a weak attempt at playing something identifiable. Finally they cried 'enough' - glad they did so before I was tempted with a drum-kit! Have a gr8 2009. xx
