Saturday photo Scavenger Hunt

Sanni's theme this week is 'Broken'.

To prevent anyone else from suffering the same experience we had: DO NOT PUT DANDELION & BURDOCK IN THE FREEZER! EVER!
If you forget about it and leave it too long it explodes. With enough force to open the freezer, blow the front off the shelf and smash all of the contents (plastic boxes etc) to smithereens.

We've cleaned it up before taking photos but I'll post what we're left with!

This is Dandelion & Burdock. I've also linked up the Wikepedia page.

It tastes really disgusting but my weird boyfriend who also enjoys jam and crisp sandwiches as well as macdonalds chips dipped in a vanilla milkshake is a fan.

P.S. Go and see Sanni if you want to find who else is playing.

But my question is this? What is dandelion and Burdock used for? Is it a liquid? Now I am curious! My photo is up, please come and visit

Gee, I don't know what it is what blowed off, but it looks like a bomb ! You must have had the shock of your life ! I once had a decoration pumpkin on the kitchen table which exploded while we were out (fortunately) but the whole kitchen was full, walls and ceiling included !

OH my.. making a note to never ever do that.

Oh dear...that must be quite a shock to you! I didn't know flowers are that explosive until I saw the canned drink, lol!! =P

Haven't seen Dandelion & Burdock over here (Ireland) My Mum would occasionally buy it in big bottles as a treat when I lived at home (England) Yuk!

LOL--so will beer and coca-cola!!

Ugh what a mess!

Good for the theme though.

Wooo.... Maybe I should have needed that - to not eat too much and not have to go to the WC so much....

*giggles*

(You'll understand if you visit my Broken post :-)

I did that once when I put a root beer in the freezer to chill it really quick. Luckily it didn't explode in the freezer, but when I popped the top it acted like I'd shaken it!!

Now I make sure I have chilled mugs in the freezer!!

Glad you found the home of the Photo Hunters! =) Welcome.

I haven't ever had that drink (never heard of it) but I've put Dr Pepper in the freezer and had that issue. Yuck.

I haven´t had a Dandelion & Burdock for ages, TC! I´d put 2 of them in a fridge hoping to be able to safe ONE of them for me and clean up the other one´s mess gratefully =)

Thanks for visiting my hunt on Saturday - have a great week!

I once did that with a Pepsi. Horrible mess. It took forever to clean it up. Hope your mess cleaned up easier!

I think almost everyone has done this with the pop in the freezer, but I've never seen it do that much damage. What is in that drink? Now, if you put dry ice in a plastic pop can with a little water and put the lid on tight you can get a similar explosion. Not that I've ever done it, just know someone who did.

Thanks for the visit.

I laughed so much I nearly wet myself! Wow, what a mess that must've been :-D

[drying the tears from my eyes...] Ehm... ever tried putting mints in coke? That causes a similar sort of explosion too! (have a look on YouTube, if you don't believe me... my son revelled in showing me all the pics- he wanted to try it :-D

I'm trying to work out if you've got any sanity in you... fizzy pop in the freezer... staying in a wigwam mid-winter...

Ok, I've just checked out your Wigwam from this link you left in the last post - not quite as mad as at first appears... they look sealed, at least :-)

Is this a health drink? What does it taste like and what is it good for?

TopChamp said...

Hello MOI - it's not a health drink - doubt it has ANY health benefits.... and it's probably best used as we demonstrated: as an explosive device.

Other uses: punishment, cleaning metal (corrosive?)... Certainly NOT drinking.
